Join us at the Inlet Theatre for a night filled with incredible music from the talented Paul Pigat and band Cousin Harley. Get ready to tap for their unique blend of rockabilly, swing, and blues. This in-person event promises to be a night to remember, so grab your friends and come on down to the Inlet Theatre for an unforgettable evening of live music!
From the humble beginnings of recording their first Ep on Vancouver Island in the late 1990s - using a dilapidated 1965 Chevy Nova as an isolation booth - to playing a 'by invitation only' event with Jeff Beck in California for Gretsch Guitars, you can say that Cousin Harley has come a long way.
Together for almost 20 years, this powerful little trio has been setting stages on fire around the world and have been feature performers at musical gatherings from Las Vegas to Byron Bay. Always a festival favourite, they can explode like a active volcano, swing like the Basie band and holler like lonesome hillbilly in the back woods of the Appalachia all in a single show. They have performed with such greats as Bill Kirchen (Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen), James Burton (Elvis Presley) and Albert Lee (Emmylou Harris), Brian Setzer and the list goes on and on.
The Cousin Harley sound is unique in a genre that can some times be pigeonholed as being “traditional” or “nostalgic”. They consistently breath new life into mid century North American music and genre smash everything from Gypsy Jazz infused Be Bop to shredding rock guitar!! This has achieved them a cult like following and have been featured in multiple music magazines around the world as one of the best virtuosic trios around. Not to be trifled with and not to be missed!!!!
