Event Details:

Looking for an afternoon of festive family fun? The CP Holiday Train event is an annual favourite here in Port Moody. Help us help others by bringing a cash or healthy food donation for SHARE Family and Community Services. Last year we raised over 714 lbs of food and $5,153.80 - let's try and beat that goal.

Watch the CP Holiday Train roll into town

Train arrives 5:20pm; Performance 5:45 - 6:15pm
Behind the Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Road)

Looking to catch a little holiday spirit? The CP Holiday Train pulls to a stop in Port Moody once again this year and it’s a festive event you don’t want to miss. The train is decked out in thousands of lights, with special guests Terri Clark and Dallas Smith on board all set to entertain you. Get ready to sing along!

Outdoor Activities

Outside behind the Recreation Complex (by the tennis courts), 5-7pm

Cozy up next to the roaring bonfire and grab a cup of hot chocolate, a bowl of chili, or a hotdog (by donation). Enjoy live music by the Moody Middle Choir (5-5:30pm) and Port Moody Community Band (6:15-7pm) under the RE/MAX tent. Check out the Port Moody Police Department trailer and police cruiser, or chat with the Port Moody Volunteer Firefighters as they tend to the bonfire. Be sure to stop by the SHARE food truck which will be onsite accepting cash or healthy food donations. Finally, join in a mini soccer game, or win big at bean bag toss, on the Trasolini Practice Field.

Recreation Complex Activities

Gym, 6-7:30pm

If you have little ones with energy to burn stop in to play with all kinds of toys, balls, and gym equipment. When you get tired, stop and make a holiday button at our button-making station or take in live performances by students of Vela Academy of Movement.

Wellness Room, 6-8pm

Snack on some popcorn (by donation) or belt out a carol with Melanie & Tom. There's lots for kids to do, including holiday card printmaking, face painting, and cookie decorating. Be sure to fully charge your camera for a photo op with Frosty the Snowman.

City Hall Activities

Galleria, 6-8pm

Visit with Santa Claus to let him know you've been good! Sit back and sip on a cup of hot chocolate (by donation) as the little ones get creative - colouring, crafts, and cookie decorating are just three of the activities we have planned.

Transportation

The Civic Centre parking lot will be very busy the afternoon of December 17. If you’re coming to the event, think about walking, biking or taking local transit. There is also overflow parking at Inlet Field on Murray Street.
