When: May 1, 2022; 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Where: 12 Mossom Creek Dr – the hatchery is located at the end of Mossom Creek Drive (up the 1km gravel road)
What: 
Join the Mossom Creek Hatchery and learn about citizen science, the iNaturalist app, and the plants and animals that live around Mossom Creek. Event will take place rain or shine - dress for weather and wear sturdy shoes. We’ll be using an app called iNaturalist, but the use of iNaturalist is voluntary and is not required for participation in this event. If you would like to use iNaturalist, we recommend you download the app ahead of time (iPhone, Android) and create your account before arriving at the hatchery, as cell reception can be poor. iNaturalist is a third-party app, and the City of Port Moody makes no claims about the security or privacy of its use. Tri-City Nature Challenge is part of an international event called City Nature Challenge (April 29-May 2, 2022) that motivates people around the world to find and document wildlife (using an app called iNaturalist) in their cities. City Nature Challenge is organized on a global scale by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the California Academy of Sciences.
